Handicrafts workshop for women in Kalmunai division (24/03/2021)
According to the guidlines of the Department of Cultural Affairs, A workshop on making handicrafts for Kalmunai Divisional women was held today (24) under the direction of Divisional Secretariat Cultural Development Officer M.H.Fousul Hifana under the chairmanship of Divisional Secretary J. Liyakath Ali.
This event was organized based on the program "Tholas Mage Bagana" by Department of Cultural Affairs which is mainly focused on enhancing women's productivity, artistic and creative talents. Zeenath Thufa and Kousar Jahan were the main facilitartors for this programe.
It is noteworthy that this project is being carried out with the aim of producing and marketing decorative handicrafts of the young women in the area.
Administrative Officer M.N.M. Ramzan, Samurdhi Headquarters Manager A.R Saaly, Chief Management Officer Mrs. Janufa Nawfal, Chief Managing Officer of Planning Division M.M Hassan, Rural Development Officer M.I.M Mukherjee, Women Development Officer S.L Fathima Sifaya, Mediation Board Officer Imtisa Hassan and many others were present.
